The image here is titled Ayum-ee-aawach Oomama-mowan: Speaking to Their Mother by Anishinaabe-kwe artist Rebecca Belmore. It is an image of the artist herself speaking into a large sound installation in the shape of a megaphone made of wood. The megaphone is positioned facing a large forest and she asks Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples to address the land directly as an attempt to hear political protest and poetic action.Â
