Incorporating Inquiry in the Social Studies Classroom:

For this portfolio artifact I wanted to include some resources I have sourced that can be used to develop inquiry in the classroom. I was inspired by Kyra’s presentation about the inquiry she does with her high school students and the steps she takes in order to make that happen. One thing she said was that “the process is more important than the product and to focus on the process and learning journey.” This statement reminded me about myself and my process as an artist and how the journey to the final product is equally if not more important than the actual outcome. It is during that process of progress, mistakes, frustration and excited ness that I learn more about myself and what I am making. utline the process of inquiry learning in Social Studies.
